With his popularity ever growing Moe signed with Columbia Records in 1975 and his first release “Hank Williams You Wrote My Life” went all the way to number three in the charts. He then followed up with a string of hits including “Here I Am I’m Drunk Again,” “She Took More Than Her Share,” I’m Sorry For You My Friend,” “Cowboy Ain’t Supposed To Cry” and “She Just Loved the Cheatin Out of Me”. In 1979 he teamed up with Janie Fricke with “It’s A Cheatin’ Situation” which became the CMA song of the year. That same year Moe teamed up with Joe Stampley and released the album “Just Good Ol’ Boys” that went Gold.
The following year he kept the ball rolling with hits like “Yesterday Once More” and “Following the feeling” a duet with Judy Bailey. In 1981 Moe teamed up with Joe again and once more the pair reached the top with “Hey Moe Hey Joe” and “Honky Tonk Queen”. That same year Moe also had solo hits with “My Woman Loves the Devil out Of Me” and “Rodeo Romeo” a song about his brother Mike Bandy who went to National Finals seven times in the bull riding event.
In 1986 Moe switched labels and signed with MCA/Curb where he continued to cut hits including “Till I’m Too Old to Die Young” and “Americana”. Throughout his career so far Moe has received a CMA award, American Video Award, five Gold Albums, 40 Top Ten Hits and Ten Number One’s. And it’s not over yet! Moe recently recorded two new CD’s. First “Legendary Country” which reflects Moe’s Honky Tonk roots. And second all Gospel CD.
